'Ember & Crust Pizzeria began with a simple dream: to share authentic Neapolitan pizza with London. Established by the Carter family in 1985, our pizzeria started as a small, family-run spot with recipes passed down through generations.
Liam Carter, our founder, learned the craft of pizza-making during travels across Italy, learning from master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. Upon returning to the UK, she resolved to recreate the magic of true Italian pizza, using traditional methods and the finest ingredients.
What began as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has grown into a beloved local institution, yet our dedication to quality and authenticity has never wavered. We still employ wood-fired oven techniques, prepare dough fresh daily, and source top-quality ingredients whenever possible.
Today, 'Ember & Crust Pizzeria' remains family-owned and operated, with the second generation of the Carter family now guiding our devoted team. While we’ve adopted some modern innovations, the core of our business stays the same: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
